After a 16-month hiatus due to COVID-19 precautions, the Hot Springs Concert Band has announced its 2021 concert season.
âAlthough the band is starting their 46th year late, they are all the more excited to perform again and anticipate seeing all the people who enjoy their music year after year. And, the band is also looking forward to seeing new ones. faces in the audience, âa press release said.
âThis year’s shortened season will begin with three summer concerts. While these concerts in past years have typically been held outdoors, this year they will be indoors in a cooler location thanks to Fountain Lake High. School, “the statement read.
All concerts will take place on Mondays and start at 7 p.m. The concert dates are June 28, July 12 and July 26. The concerts will be held at the Fountain Lake High School Auditorium, 4207 Park Ave.
The theme of the first concert is “It’s The Twenties Again!”
“Join us in a musical flashback to a century ago and help us revive that decade and rekindle memories of music, movies and shows from the era,” the statement said.
There is no admission for the summer concerts, but the public will have the opportunity to make a donation which will help offset part of the group’s operating expenses.
A fall concert will be held on Sunday October 3 and a Christmas concert on Thursday December 9, both at the Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village. More information about the concerts will be published at a later date.
“The band can’t wait to make music for you again and hope to see you at concerts,” the statement said.
