Haiti – Culture: Great concert of popular music in St-Marc

Following the success of the September 5 concert, at the request of the public, a second major concert of popular music, sponsored by several businessmen and women from the city of Saint-Marc, will be held on Saturday December 19, 2015 at 7: 12:00 am at the Troquet Café Théâtre, located in Pivert, (Saint-Marc).
This sociocultural and musical show will see the performance of artists Marjorie Cajuste, Jean Rosemond Charles, Wagner Paysan and Joël Lorquet. Other groups from the Artibonite department, among others, the Barnel Archédou Troupe, Sim Création, the La Reine Congo Dance Troupe and Taty Dance Company will also perform this Saturday.
Singer Marjorie Cajuste began her career with appearances in the group “Ragga Jam”. She works on solo projects and with her group “Ginen Flanbo”. His most famous songs are “Latibonit”, “Banm rara’m” and “Taxi”. Accompanied by Lorquet, she recently gave several concerts abroad, notably in the Dominican Republic and the United States.
Jean Rosemond Charles:
The singer-songwriter Jean Rosemond Charles is one of the most prominent in the town of Nissage Saget. He is very active in the cultural activities of his hometown.
Wagner Paysan is a young artist who has chosen to exercise his talents through traditional and peasant music. He is very popular especially in the Artibonite department, where he is often invited to host cultural evenings of a character.
Joël Lorquet was born in Port-au-Prince to parents of Saint-Marc, former singer of the first generation of the group “Alanbanza” recorded his first songs in 1984, on the National Radio of Haiti. Lorquet Joel’s albums include in 1992 “Annou bay Lamen”; 1994 “Love is wonderful”; with the Children of the Heart Foundation for Haiti; 1998 “Pouki Ayiti Soufri? and in 2004 “804-2004” (an album of popular music).
