Arlington Heights Community Concert Band welcomes guest conductor Dr. R. Christopher Teichler to the concert on Sunday, October 24, 3 p.m. Forest View Educational Center.

Dr. Teichler will lead the group at the world premiere of his composition “Hope and a New Dawn”. Originally, he wanted to write a composition that would celebrate the new decade, communicate optimism and opportunities for the future. Then COVID-19 happened. He had to fight an initial resignation to give up the idea. He then decided that he wanted to contribute to a spirit of perseverance, by encouraging the idea that things will improve and that we will overcome this by working together. A new day will come. This idea became the inspiration for “Hope and a New Dawn” which will be created during the concert.

Forest View Education Center Theater, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. Admission is free, but the group accepts donations to offset the cost of music and new musical instruments. For electronic tickets: or email: [email protected]

We ask for “tickets” to anticipate the attendance of the public. Entries are welcome. No one will be turned back at the door.
