A POPULAR Cumbrian music festival will return this year – with the line-up said to be ‘the most ambitious and exciting to date’.
The Solfest festival is unique in that it has a curfew on the main stage at noon and a 24-hour licensed arena.
This year’s lineup includes big names such as The Charlatans and Pendulum DJ set as well as some popular Cumbria favourites.

Tickets are on sale now and are expected to sell out its 10,000 capacity again.

Sam Johnston, Festival Director at Solfest, said: “This is our most ambitious and exciting event in Solfest history.
“With the success of 2021 and the help provided by the cultural recovery fund, we have been able to expand our artistic offer several times, we still have more than 100 acts to announce in the coming months, we are also able to confirm that we have a brand new main stage to increase the audience’s enjoyment with the performances with increased production, larger screens and exterior lasers!” No one can quite explain the feeling of real joy to see so many happy dancers performing. reunite after the Covid 19 pandemic, especially after so much uncertainty leading up to it.”
