Under the direction of Harris Lanzel and sponsored by Cadence Music, Inc., the Naples Concert Band will present a Sunday concert in the park on April 18, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Cambier Park Band Shell in Naples. The concert will feature vocalist Mark Sanders, who will perform a medley of “The Jazz Singer” by Neil Diamond, arranged by Jerry Nowak and “This is the Moment” from the Broadway musical epic Jekyll and Hyde by Frank Wildhorn, specially arranged for Mark by the incredible Rick DeJonge. Other compositions, including “Jubilee 150”, “Mexican Hat Dance”, “Variations on Scarborough Fair” and “Guardians of the Galaxy”, the highlights of the soundtrack, will also be performed by the popular group during the concert. For 49 years, the Naples Concert Band has entertained residents of Southwest Florida with memorable Sunday concerts in the park. Admission to all performances of the Naples Concert Band is free, donations are appreciated. Donations received at each concert help cover expenses and contribute to the group’s scholarship fund, which has provided more than $ 122,650 in scholarships to student members of the group since its inception in 1984.
