Members of the Brazil Concert Band rehearse for an upcoming performance Tuesday night at Forest Park.
BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO / WAWV) – The Brazil Concert Band will present their grand final concert at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 29 in Forest Park; the event will take place rain or shine.
The BCB will perform “Curtain Call” by John Wasson, the first time the group will perform the play, featuring each section of the group in a comedic vaudeville setting. The set list also includes “From Tropic To Tropic” by Russell Alexander, “La Belle Helene” by Jaques Offenbach in an arrangement by Jim Mahaffey and “Galop from Genevieve de Brabant” also by Offenbach and edited by Colonel John R. Bourgeois .
In addition, music from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s âJesus Christ Superstarâ, arranged by Henry Mancini, will be played. This includes âSuperstarâ, âAll is wellâ, âKing Herod’s songâ and âI don’t know how to love itâ.
One of the Brazil Concert Band‘s first Christmas gifts is âA Christmas Festivalâ by Leroy Anderson.
The Ladies of the Legion will be serving burgers and hot dogs at the concession stand.
