Auxiliary presents check to Johnstown Symphony Orchestra

The Somerset Auxiliary of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra (SAJSO) recently presented a check for $ 7,000 to the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra reflecting the proceeds of their 10th annual Taste of the Laurel Highlands fundraiser held in October at Green Gables, Jennerstown .

The Taste of the Laurel Highlands features a dozen or more local restaurants serving portions of their best meals to patrons who donate for the privilege. It also offers live online silent auctions of hundreds of donated gift cards and certificates for other popular restaurants and services. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to support the JSO and its many community outreach programs.

“The strength of our organization lies in our people, and no one is more dedicated than our Somerset Auxiliary of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra,” said Executive Director Jessica Satava. “Year after year, they find creative and effective ways to connect with our community and support our work to bring music to the region. I celebrate their hard work and am so grateful that they have chosen to give so generously to our orchestra! “
